November 5, 2010— January 28, 2011 Opening Reception: November 5, 2010 6-8 PM *Larry Jens Anderson*Radcliff Bailey*Michael Brown*Thornton Dial*Monica Ellis*Zachary Friedline*Stephen Hayes*Darius Hill*Christopher Hutchinson*Mariah Kirby Smith*Forest McMullin*Jim Neel*Elin O’Hara Slavick*Fahamu Pecou*Omar Richardson*Sonja Rieger*Jon Riis*Shana Robbins*Andrew Scott Ross*Robert Sherer*Jonathan Terranova*Brad Thomas*Kara Walker When Anderson first moved from the Midwest to the Deep South, natives informed him there were four subjects to avoid in polite conversation—race, sex, politics and religion. Indeed, in Southern culture these subjects often overlap. They continue to form the basis of unstated interpersonal and community relationships. This exhibition is the second in the series, “Found Around the South Two” which is supported by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. This project is also made possible in part through support from the National Performance Network’s Visual Artists Network (VAN). VAN’s major contributors are the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Joan Mitchell Foundation and the Nathan Cummings Foundation. Other generous supporters are the Board of Directors, friends of Space One Eleven, private, corporate and individual donors
