Space One ELEVEN GALLERY
2409 Second Avenue North Birmingham, Alabama Admission is free! Both exhibitions combine to reflect a single art thought – albeit conceptually multilayered – about our postmodern condition. Positing questions of originality, authorship, pastiche, and the so-called neutrality of cultural institutions, Cooper Spivey writes that this text offers a glimpse of the market driven valuation of “folk art.”In his April 8th review on “hell fire”, James R. Nelson, visual arts critic for the Birmingham News, describes the exhibition as “…a powerful introduction to fundamentalist beliefs and concerns. It will have a tremendous appeal to a sophisticated audience.” | a space one eleven education/professional development program |
