Artfix! at Space One Eleven presents a do-it-yourself giftmaking workshop featuring projects by six+ local artists, food, wine, and music. Make six+ gifts for only $20.Featuring: Jason BurgessProject: Bookmaking - Books and journals, Kanji bound, saddle stitched, accordion, and tape bindings. A wide variety of colors, sizes, and materials to personalize your book with. Michael CurtisProject: The project will involve using throwback christmas album covers in order to create 5 to 6 different types of gift boxes ranging in multiple sizes and shapes. Participant will be able to choose what type of packaging they would like to create and will be allowed to score and assemble the boxes themselves with the use of an exacto knife, glue or tape. The boxes will also include the use of twine for presentation. Diagram drawings for each box option will be available to show assembly directions. Rachael EllzeyProject: Individuals will have the chance to print their own christmas cards! Each person can choose from several linoleum block designs to ink up and then print. Katie McClungProject: Even if you don't handmake every present this year you can at least wrap them in your style! Learn how to silk screen as you customize wrapping paper for your holiday gifts. We will provide the ink, designs, and paper... you decide how to put it all together. Bows optional.
