Figure Drawing

Space One Eleven is offering a nude figure drawing class for beginners. The basic techniques to drawing the figure will be covered. We will discuss proportions and practice gesture and line drawings. From there we will focus on defining those drawings by adding definition and value to create a realistic figure.
Rachael Ellzey graduated from the University of Montevallo where she received her BFA in Printmaking. While attending school she received the Madge Taylor Sims scholarship and the Martha Allen scholarship for her work. Rachael's practice focuses primarily on rendering the human figure through realism and expressionism. She dabbles in several mediums, but uses drawing as a foundation for all. Rachael lives and works in Birmingham, AL.
Marian Blair graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with degree in Illustration and Art History. Marian currently lives and works in Birmingham, AL.
